Hartford H.O.G. Chapter #1124 ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

Hi,

My name is Dave Larson (aka BigD). I am the 2010 ASSISTANT DIRECTOR.

I have been an active member of this Chapter for over 10 years. I have served the Chapter as Assistant Director, Head Road Captain and as a Road Captain for 10 years.

I started riding motorcycles in VT when I was 16 years old with my cousins. My first motorcycle was a Honda 750. In 1982, I moved to CT and continued to ride Hondas, but had a dream that I’d some day own a Harley. Well, I told my wife that when I turned 40 I was going to make that dream a reality. I gave up smoking and with the money I would have spent on cigarettes I made a down payment on my first Harley, a 2000 Heritage Softtail Classic.

Now I ride a 2007 Ultra Classic. My wife and I have taken many trips on our motorcycle and every trip is a marvelous adventure. We’ve had the great opportunity to see so many wonderful places in the United States with so many of our fellow Chapter members.

My job as ASSISTANT DIRECTOR is to help the DIRECTOR and any other Chapter officers. My other role is to act as State Rally liaison. I’ll keep you updated on a monthly basis.

I’m looking forward to working with the 2010 Officers and members pursuing the Chapter goal to ride and have fun.

My personal goal is to bring back former members and recruit some new ones, like YOU.
